“Cleaning House” and “A Drop of Blood”

Created for the lobby of the Central Oregon Community College Health Careers Building, Cleaning House is a stylized, but medically accurate, representation of part of the human immune system identifying and destroying foreign objects. Suspended red blood cells appear to be flowing within a vascular system and include three large macrophages grabbing and devouring a group of invading bacteria. The scale is about 35,000 times larger than actual size.
